In 2024, Atlanta achieved historic milestones in the fight against homelessness. The $60M Homeless Opportunity Bond—the largest in the city’s history—will fund up to 700 affordable housing units. The Melody in South Downtown now provides 40 micro-units with wraparound services.
And today, we celebrate another grand opening with the ceremony for 729 Bonaventure, a pivotal milestone in the Housing Office’s Rapid Housing Initiative. Similar to The Melody, 729 Bonaventure will offer 23 housing units—100% dedicated to our chronically unsheltered community. Through innovative programs and partnerships, we’re building hope for Atlanta’s residents.
